Admt: What is admt?

ADMT stands for Art, Design, Media, And technology. To me, these four elements are crucial. Without them, now i wouldn't be typing this cause there won't be any computers or ANYTHING with a screen on it. Without it, we would still be living in caves, and depending for fire for warmth and light, and wood+friction to cook the food that we hunt from animals using wooden "spears".
I would like to learn skills from each of the four elements, for example, mastering the use of technology, being a good drawer, learning how to create and present all sorts of media, and learning how to design new stuff.

This is my rough sketch of what the world would be like without ADMT...

As you can see in the picture, the boy is doing his homework in front of a candle as there is no light.

ps: this is very inaccurate, as without ADMT he wouldn't even have a pencil and a paper and would'nt be wearing shoes and all sorts of horrible things like that.
In short, ADMT is a very important thing in humankind. Our lives would be very different without it...very different indeed....

Admt doing research part 2

There are a number of campaigns for the environment Singapore organised, and this will be a long post, so don't sleep, and look. ps: this is number 4

On October 2008, Singapore launched the Green Transport Week campaign. The aim of the campaign was to raise an awareness to the public about how bad cars do to the environment. On this week, residents are encouraged to travel green, meaning to take buses or trains to reduce the environmental damage done via getting from point A to B, something everyone of us do everyday, from going to school to visiting other countries. In this way where everyone takes public transportation, be it trains, buses, the mass rapid transport, ect, we can make a difference to our beautiful mother earth.
This issue is a major one as most humans worldwide are not aware that their reliance of their cars are severely damaging the environment, and even more are aware of this and do not care. Singapore hopes to change by launching this program.

Next:

The Singapore environment council launched project eco-office with the collaboration of the CDL(city developments limited). As the name suggests, its purpose is to help offices in Singapore implement effective environmentally-friendly practices by increasing awareness amongst staff, and by making available a range of knowledge-based and practical resources such as the eco office kit and the online eco office rating system. Eco office kits are designed to raise awarness about the environment and help staff develop environment friendly habits, while the online eco office rating system allows staff to rate how environmentally friendly they are.

Thanks.

ADMT WHAT IS RESEARCH

1. Research is a process when one surfs the web or visits the library (or use any other source of definite information) to find out more about a specific topic, usually for means of homework and knowledge.

2. Research is important as it it a crucial and effective way to find out about topics you do not understand and also, it is a skill needed in university or polytechnic or whatever.

3. We can conduct good research by not just visiting one site and understand everything there and say that your research is done, but rather read several books(or visit several sites) about the common topic and summarize everything you have read, to get a better understanding about the topic rather than reading it all from one site/book and not only gaining the minimum information but also risk visiting a unreliable site and gaining false information.

amazing race debrief

About the amazing race debrief: I think this event organized by SST was a great example of the school value 'expansion'. While other schools make their student sit in their classroom and force them to read textbooks and, unknowingly or not, limit their education to what is in their textbook, their classroom, and their workbooks, SST's education goes beyond the classroom and allows their students to learn via experiencing first hand instead of following the textbook. I think this is a very effective way of learning and follows the school value 'expansion', because, as i said earlier on, the classroom is not our only source of knowledge.

expanding our learning network means that we should not limit our study to the classroom. instead we can use the internet to learn all around the world and i think this will hepl me alot and will be necesarry if i want to suceed.
